We are proud to say Bohemio Furniture has been operating for over 27 years supplying Melbourne, Australia and International customers with quality hardwood timber furniture that are uniquely our own. With time, we have perfected the craft of manufacturing and selecting pieces that you won't find anywhere else and which are made by skilled craftsmen using sustainable hardwood timber. As a family owned and operated business, you'll find three generations working in store to offer friendly service and excellent knowledge on all our products.

Our story began in 1995 when we opened our first store to the public on High Street, Malvern with an array of interesting products prominently sourced from India. Soon after, we were approached by several large department stores, both local and interstate, where we began wholesaling Australia wide.

7 years later, we moved into our Richmond store in the heart of Swan St where the response was overwhelming. People came from far and wide to acquire our rich and earthy pieces at affordable prices.  

As business grew steadily, we expanded into the edgy suburb of Fitzroy in 2006 which has since become our flagship store. The store is now a landmark on Johnston St where we stock our entire product range from home wares to large tables and more. In 2015, we said goodbye to the Richmond store after 13 years of business to focus on our online store servicing customers Australia wide.

We still travel far and wide to source our goods and make sure the products received are of the up most quality. Bohemio furniture has been handcrafted using traditional carving and joinery  techniques and using wood species available in countries of origin and not subject to risk of depletion. Each piece is unique and variations in colour, measurements and finish are natural characteristics of our handcrafted items. The furniture producers have been especially selected on criteria involving social and labour ethics and practices, work force education and development efforts and forestation activities.
